Hot tubs in Abbotsford

Buying a hot tub in Abbotsford

Abbotsford homeowners make the short trip to our showroom at 5778 Production Way in Langley to compare tubs in person. Bring photos of your yard and the path from the street, and we'll help you narrow it down: a 2–3 person tub for a patio, a 4–5 person tub, a 6–8 person tub for the family, a swim spa, or a cold plunge tub.

Abbotsford winters can be colder and windier than the western end of the valley, with outflow wind and snow some years. That makes insulation, a well-fitted cabinet and a thick, tapered cover worth more here. Ask us to show you how each tub is insulated.

Installing a hot tub in Abbotsford

Lots in Abbotsford range from compact yards in newer subdivisions to sloped lots on the hillsides of east and west Abbotsford and rural properties in Bradner and Matsqui. Slopes matter: a tub needs a level base, and on a hillside that may mean a retaining edge or a deck. On the site check we measure the access, look at the spot and your electrical panel, and tell you whether delivery needs a crane.

See hot tub pads and bases for concrete, paver and gravel options, and decks and gazebos if the tub is going on a deck or under a roof. The electrical permit comes from Technical Safety BC; our hot tub electrical page explains the circuit and the disconnect.

Swim spas and cold plunges in Abbotsford

Bigger lots in parts of Abbotsford make it one of the places a swim spa is a realistic option. A swim spa is long and heavy, usually needs a concrete pad, and often comes in by crane, so we look at the access and the base before anything else. If you'd rather have something small, a cold plunge tub can sit on a patio or in a garage and many run on a standard outlet. We'll tell you what power and space each one needs before you commit.

Water in Abbotsford

Abbotsford's water is soft. It keeps clear easily, but very soft hot tub water can foam and be harder on heaters and pump seals, so most owners raise the calcium hardness after each fill. Our water care guide covers the steps.
